They are also one of the largest owners of Grand Cru vineyards in the region which account for an impressive third of their total production. At every level, their wines embody the celebrated Trimbach style: structured, long-lived, fruit-driven, dry, elegant, and above all balanced. Family is also central to everyday life at Trimbach. Winemaking is expertly managed by 12th-generation Pierre, alongside his nephew Julien. Pierre's brother, Jean, and Pierre's daughter Anne, the eldest of the 13th generation, are global brand ambassadors. In 2023, Trimbach was certied HVE-3 Organic reecting their dedication to creating the highest-caliber expressions of their terroir. ## T E R R O I R & V I N T A G E N O T E S The select vineyards include the lieu-dit of the Trottacker-Forst with marl, limestone and sandstone soils and Trimbach's own old vines (45+ years) in Ribeauvillé which have southeast exposures. Other sites are the Haguenau and Paenzer, and Grand Cru Altenberg, which has limestone soils and very stony red marls, which are shallow and rich in fossils, and old vines (50+) in Bergheim, with a southern exposure. 2022 was a mild and dry winter, rst buds started in April. There were high temperatures in May and a good hot and dry summer that followed. In September, rain nally arrived and ripening pro- gressed slowly, preserving aromas and acidities thanks to colder temperatures. ## WINE M A KI N G & A G I N G Grapes are selected at maturity then crushed and delicately pressed in a pneumatic press.Vinied in a dry style in stainless steel vats. No malolactic fermentation, or long aging on lees, in order to preserve freshness, liveliness and fruity aromas. Vinied in a dry style in stainless steel vats. It is crisp and seduc- tive, the very denition of Riesling from Alsace, rmly anchored in the Tri- mbach style: dry, pure and balanced. The nish is sapid and underlined by a beautiful salinity whetting the appetite. <!-- image --> 750ML <!-- image --> <!-- image --> <!-- image --> <!-- image --> ORIGIN Alsace AOC, Alsace, France GRA P E VA R I E T I E S 100% Riesling S I Z E S 750ml ## T E C H N I C A L D E T A I L S ABV: 13.50%, TA: 6.38, RS: 5.1, Ph: 3.3, Closure: Cork WINE M A KE R Pierre Trimbach <!-- image -->
