## Marie de Beauregard Vouvray 2022 ## B A C K G R O U N D Marie de Beauregard Vouvray comes from an estate located in the village of 'La Roche Corbon' near the city of Vouvray. Saget La Perrière has had a partnership with this estate for over 10 years. Winemaker Laurent Saget selects the best of the estategrown grapes for blending and maturing. The name 'Marie de Beauregard' is a homage to the rst owner's wife of the water mill where the wines are aged. ## T E R R O I R & V I N T A G E N O T E S Chenin Blanc is the standout variety of the region. One key characteristic of the quality of Vouvray wines is their remarkable long life. Chenin Blanc has a very naturally high level of acidity that acts as a preservative in wines - allow bottles more than 30 years old to show stunning freshness and life. ## WINE M A KI N G & A G I N G Grapes are mechanically harvested at the beginning of October. The grape pressing is done very slowly with a pneumatic press. The must is claried thanks to a static cold settling for two days before being fermented. Fermentation starts naturally without any added yeast. This wine is aged in second and third use barrels to maintain the unique varietal characteristics. ## TA S T I N G N O T E S This wine displays a lovely pale yellow hue with golden tints. The rich, intense nose is both oral, with notes of lime blossom, and fruity, with a hint of quince. These are followed by an array of oaky aromas with vanilla nuances.
