<!-- image --> <!-- image --> ## Gewurztraminer Seigneurs de Ribeaupierre 2012 ## B A C K G R O U N D Since 1626, the Trimbach family have been a reference point for ne Alsace wine. They are also one of the largest owners of Grand Cru vineyards in the region which account for an impressive third of their total production. At every level, their wines embody the celebrated Trimbach style: structured, long-lived, fruit-driven, dry, elegant, and above all balanced. Family is also central to everyday life at Trimbach. Winemaking is expertly managed by 12th-generation Pierre, alongside his nephew Julien.  Pierre's brother, Jean, and Pierre's daughter Anne, the eldest of the 13th generation, are global brand ambassadors. In 2023, Trimbach was certied HVE-3 Organic reecting their dedication to creating the highest-caliber expressions of their terroir. ## T E R R O I R &amp; V I N T A G E N O T E S The vines come from several selected vineyards: Old vines (50+ years) from the region of Ribeauvillé locality Trottacker which has deep clay-limestone soil; In Bergheim a site called Gruenspiel on from the Keuper marls; In Hunawihr, a site called Muehlforst marl-calcaire soils on a shelly limestone substrate of Muschelkalk with a southern and South East exposure. 2012 saw an excellent harvest. Warm vintage, ripe grapes, lots of elegance in the Gewurztraminers from 2012. We pick Gewurztraminer grapes as late as possible in order to achieve maximum ripeness which, in turn, gives optimum depth of avor and complexity. ## WINE M A KI N G &amp; A G I N G Grapes are selected when fully ripe, delicately pressed in a pneumatic press. Vinied in stainless steel tanks, no malolactic fermentation or long aging on lees in order to preserve freshness, liveliness and fruity aromas. Bottled the on. the following spring followed by 6 years aging in the cellar. ## TA S T I N G N O T E S Spicy and exotic on the nose. Ripe but not sweet. Fine, stylish, concentrated wine with lovely grip. Purity of avors, beautiful elegance and very persistent.
