Wine has always been at the heart of the family's story. Marc D. Taub, raised with a profound reverence for winemaking, inherited this passion from his grandfather Marty, a pivotal gure in the wine industry since the early 1930s and later, his father David. In 2013, Marc acquired Heritance Vintners in Napa Valley, now transformed as Taub Family Vineyards. With their namesake, Marc and his son Jake look to explore Napa's most dynamic sub-appellations and single vineyards to build their own storied cabernet house, curating wines from some of the Valley's most esteemed sites. ## T E R R O I R & V I N T A G E N O T E S The beginning of the 2019 growing season was characterized by abundant rainfall and recurring soil moisture. This set the stage for a long, warm summer with few extreme heat events. Classic cool, foggy mornings combined with a lengthy, relatively mild nish to the season to preserve purity and elegance in the fruit with abundant hang time teasing out great color, structure, and soft tannins. Yields were average to slightly less than average, with exceptional fruit quality typied by bright acidity and ample texture allowing the production of vibrant and expressive wines. ## WINE M A KI N G & A G I N G Grapes are carefully hand-harvested, destemmed, and sorted. A cold soak takes place for 3-5 days, followed by 14 days of fermentation with cap management adjusted to the lot and expected extraction prole. The wine is fermented nearly dry on the skin safter which, it is drained, pressed, and transferred to French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and aging. Aged for 20 months in 100% French oak (80% new) including Taransaud, Sylvain, Darnajou, Vicard7 with Medium and Medium + toast. ## TA S T I N G N O T E S This wine is soft and lengthy, offering a full-bodied yet well-balanced experience with an elegantly rened structure. A sense of purity and freshness radiates from a core of supple tannins and seamlessly integrated oak. The nose is lled with fragrant aromas of violet, sandalwood, cedar, and cigar box. On the palate, generous layers of cherry, black currant, and blackberry are complemented by hints of plum cake, tobacco, molasses, and licorice spice. It is expected to reach peak maturity between 2027 and 2034. <!-- image --> <!-- image --> <!-- image --> ## ORIGIN Napa Valley, Napa Valley, United States ## GRA P E VA R I E T I E S 100% Cabernet Sauvignon S I Z E S 750ml ## T E C H N I C A L D E T A I L S ABV: 14.9, TA: 6.1, Ph: 3.75, Closure: Cork WINE M A KE R Maayan Koschitzky <!-- image -->
