WE AIM FOR THE SKY BUT KEEP OUR FEET ON THE GROUND.Saskia de Rothschild Executive Chairwoman, Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite Max Correa Chief Winemaker, Viña Los Vascos SHARE THE SPIRIT. From the hallowed gravels of Château Lafite Rothschild — the premier First Growth of Pauillac — to pioneering family projects across the globe, our journey is defined by a singular pursuit. We were drawn to this specific Chilean ecosystem not by chance, but by its extraordinary terroir. In every vineyard, we extend the same spirit of precision and patience that defines our heritage. We work hand-in-hand with nature to give full expression to the land. Our wines are the eloquent storytellers of this unique terroir: they are bottles of exquisite balance, refinement, and a certain freshness. Impactful without ever overpowering, they are defined by one unmistakable quality: grace. Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite brings together exceptional estates across the world, each rooted in its own terroir and culture, united by a commitment to precision, elegance and long-term vision. MEET THE FAMILY. Olivier Trégoat Technical Director, Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite Philippe Rolet Estate Manager, Viña Los Vascos Los Vascos is a state-of-the-art winery in Valley de Cañeten — a true viticultural paradise — in the renowned Colchagua Valley. Often called the “Napa Valley of Chile,” Colchagua Valley is one of the country’s oldest and most traditional wine regions. Vines have been cultivated here since missionary times, with century-old plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère and Sémillon. A DIVERSE TERROIR. The geography of Colchagua is incredibly diverse, spanning from the Andes to the coast with elevations ranging from 328 — 2,625 feet. Within Los Vascos alone, more than 10 distinct soil types contribute to the complexity and balance of every bottle. This terroir is further defined by a mild Mediterranean climate; cooling ocean breezes and significant day-to-night temperature variations allow for slow ripening, exceptional freshness and optimal vineyard health. Driven by a commitment to the future, Los Vascos is a certified B Corporation and holds the Wines of Chile Sustainability Code certification. With nearly 283 hectares of vineyards certified organic, the winery maintains a rigorous focus on environmental care and long-term social responsibility. A LIVING ESTATE. Los Vascos is a vast and diverse estate where viticulture coexists with agriculture and preserved natural landscapes across more than 648 hectares. Over half of the property is dedicated to native woods and meadows, home to 185 species of endemic plants and 13 ponds that shelter birds, ducks, and swans. The estate functions as a living farm, with lambs, cattle, horses, orchards, beehives, and olive trees. This balance between cultivation and conservation defines the spirit of Los Vascos — “we cultivate to sow future.” The Classics are the essential gateway to our estate, where our promise to care for our unique ecosystem generation after generation becomes an uncomplicated and inviting choice for the modern, conscious consumer. THE CLASSICS. Pure expressions of varietal character and freshness. Crafted for enjoyment and balance. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of red fruit, with hints of black pepper and licorice. Good volume and fine tannins confer a pleasant structure and persistence, balanced by a refreshing acidity. 2022 90pts Vinous 7/24 Year after year, our teams have worked to select the best-suited terroirs to produce Cromas Gran Reserva, wines that synthesize the unique spirit and complexity of Los Vascos. By climbing higher and higher, and exploring the foothills of the mountains, a specific kind of ochre granites was discovered which is suited to plant new vineyards to produce wines of incomparable precision and elegance. Cromas, whose name derives from the Greek word for “color,” is a tribute to their relentless work of observing the colors of nature and their commitment to quality at every step. COLOR IS THE LANGUAGE OF NATURE In 2013, vines were planted on the slopes of the estate, providing different soil types and exposures. Today, 250 hectares of vineyards are planted on these highly qualitative slopes of Los Vascos. CROMAS elevates the portfolio and reinforces the positioning of Los Vascos as a major forward-looking player in Chile. Cromas Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva Selected from hillside parcels with strong temperature variation. 50% of the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. Structured and refined, with ripe dark fruit, freshness, and depth. The label color reflects the changing leaves that signal harvest time. 2020 92pts J. Suckling 1/24 Cromas Carménère Gran Reserva Sourced from north-facing slopes ideal for Chile’s emblematic variety. 50% of the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. Concentrated and smooth, with dark fruit, spice and silky texture. The label evokes the deep indigo juice that stains the hands at harvest. 2020 91pts Vinous 6/22 Le Dix, meaning 10 in French, was introduced in 1998 to celebrate Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite’s first 10 years in Chile. Le Dix is born from the historic El Fraile vineyard which means “the monk.” It is the most profound expression of Los Vascos’ heritage and patience. The vineyard is 100% planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and many parcels of the vineyard have vines reaching 80 years in age. The vineyard covers some 81 hectares. Crafted with meticulous attention from vineyard to barrel, Le Dix captures time regained, offering depth, precision, and longevity. TIME REGAINED Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with a touch of Syrah and Cabernet Franc and then aged in Lafite French oak barrels made at the Tonnellerie des Domaines in Pauillac for a minimum of 16 months with regular barrel tasting before bottling aging. An intense and fruity nose, with notes of black cherry and raspberry, accompanied by cocoa, graphite, and cedar notes. Le Dix is a wine of exceptional complexity, balance and elegance, with powerful tannins and aromas of ripe fruit accentuated by spicy notes of cedar, laurel, and eucalyptus. 2021 96pts Vinous 7/24 2021 95pts Decanter 5/24 “Le Dix is the wine that has the deepest roots in our local terroir and in the history of El Fraile vineyard. This deep- rooted character gives it the wings to be an epic and free wine that does not have to obey any rules.” – Saskia de Rothschild Vineyard Profile Name: El Fraile Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon Planted in Genetics: massal selection preserved through marcottage. Pre-phylloxera origin Soil type: loamy-sandy clay. Effective depth: 63 inches Vineyard Profile First release/vintage: 2022 Blend: 54% Syrah, 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc Fresher, modern style vs. Le Dix: softer tannins, less oak, not Cab-dominant Packaging: Cañeten’s label, illustrated by Chilean artist Claudio Romo in a woodcut style, features a short poem inspired by the 19th-century Lira Popular, reflecting Chilean land, myth, and identity. Its emblem — a hybrid “monster — represents a free spirit as untamable as the land itself. “A wine that breaks the conventional codes of Chilean iconic wines, Cañeten embodies both the present and the future of Los Vascos.” – Saskia de Rothschild Cañeten is the flagship wine of Los Vascos, the result of more than 20 years of exploration in the coastal foothills of Colchagua. Sourced from the La Aguina vineyard, nestled beneath Cerro Cañetén, the highest peak of the coastal range, this singular site benefits from granite soils, ocean influence, and a distinctive crescent shaped landscape that forms its mesoclimate and biodiversity. AN ICON BORN WHERE MOUNTAIN AND OCEAN MEET The site was selected following an extensive research program which involved digging hundreds of soil pits and carefully selecting plant material before the vineyard was finally established in 2013. Morning mists from the Pacific cool the vines before giving way to sunlight and coastal winds, creating a wine of tension, energy, and elegance. Cañeten represents a new chapter for Los Vascos, a confident and contemporary vision of Chilean fine wine. 2022 97pts Descorchados 2022 95 pts J. Suckling 2/25 2022 93pts Vinous 6/25 LOS VASCOS’ ORGANIC RANGE CHAGUAL CABERNET SAUVIGNON From the El Bruno vineyard in Peralillo. This was certified organic in 2011. The soils here are medium deep with a loam and clay loam texture. The distance to the sea is 25 miles. Juicy and expressive, showing ripe fruit and spice, with natural balance and no oak influence. 2021 92pts Vinous 3/23 CHAGUAL SAUVIGNON BLANC From the coastal San Antonio Valley, close to the Pacific Ocean. The vineyard was certified organic in 2008. The soils are granitic origin, with good drainage and low nutrient content. Distance to the sea is 13 miles. Fresh and vibrant, with citrus, exotic fruit, and bright acidity that carries through the palate. 2023 92pts J. Suckling 12/23 At Los Vascos, the first trials of organic practices started in 1999 in a vineyard deemed to be the most challenging to manage in a sustainable manner due to its soil type. In 2011, a first part of the vineyard was certified organic. EVERYTHING IN NATURE IS CONNECTED Today this work results in our first range of organic wines: Los Vascos Chagual. Chagual is the local name for Puya Chilensis, an endemic plant of central Chile whose towering flowering cycle supports insects, birds and the largest butterfly in the country — la mariposa del Chagual — who depends on it to thrive. Inspired by this natural network, Chagual is a symbol of balance between vineyard and ecosystem; today already half of the vineyard is run organically. Los Vascos´first certified organic range was born from the harmonious relationship that has developed between the vineyards and the nearby community. ©2026 Palm Bay International, West Palm Beach, FL PalmBay.com
