Lenny Recanati, Proprietor
Lenny Recanati spent his childhood in
Israel alongside his parents, tending their
backyard vines and making wine, honoring
an ancestral tradition that began for the
family centuries ago in Italy.
As an adult, Lenny’s fascination with wine
grew as he visited wineries around the
world and began building an incredible
personal collection. But merely collecting
was not enough — Lenny dreamed of
creating the wine, as he had done with
his parents. In 2000, his vision became reality when he established the cutting-
edge winery that would bear his family name. Today, Recanati is recognized as a
leader on the Israeli fine wine scene, known for translating ancient wine culture into
thoroughly modern expressions of the country’s unique terroir.

Kobi Arviv, Head Winemaker
Kobi Arviv began his career at Recanati
Winery in 2006 and, after a decade of
tireless devotion developing a world-class
vinicultural program, was appointed head
winemaker in 2016.
Kobi’s distinctive winemaking style
is expressed through gastronomic,
balanced, and elegant wines that aim to
enhance the culinary experience and echo
the incredible terroir of Israel. His skill in
matching Mediterranean varieties to the
Israeli climate is unparalleled and he is highly regarded for his creative use of
ancient techniques alongside innovative technology — always on a quest for new

Bittuni Reserve
Bittuni is often called Israel’s
answer to Pinot Noir. This cherry-
packed stunner was dry farmed
in Hebron at 2,400+ ft and aged
in Burgundian oak for a year.
Wild Carignan Reserve
Hand-harvested from dry-farmed
old vines (~30 years) with very low
yields on the slopes of the Judean
Hills. Aged in large French oak and
minimally filtered; rich black cherry
with wild sage notes.
