Passito di Noto DOC 2020 from Planeta. Sicilian dessert wine made from Moscato Bianco. Terroir features calcareous marl soils at about 40 meters altitude. Grapes harvested Aug 25–30, then dried in the fruit cellar for about six weeks to concentrate sugars; grapes pressed after ~40 days; resulting must rich in sugars. Tasting notes: Sweet and eshy with citrus notes; recalls nougat and candied ginger, plus exotic fruit, jasmine, and candied citrus. Bottle size 500 ml. Winery provenance includes Planeta's estates in Sicily; Winemaker Patricia Toth.
